i’m a college student. oh boy.
took me 20 minutes to walk from my uber-secret parking spot to my english class today. of course, i was way early coz i’m so OCD and left work way before i really needed to.
the class was involved mostly with the whole go over the syllabus and teacher introduction thing. i find it quite interesting the differences between ASU and community college. it’s clear that ASU gets a large amount of young&stupid students, as the class syllabus included the sort of strict, no exceptions bs rules about attendance.
honestly, if you are too stupid to show up to a class that is being paid for by yourself, your parents or the government, then good for me. you lose, and i win. but if i, say, were to dislocate my effing knee again, i don’t want to deal with the additional bs of proving to my teachers that they shouldn’t drop me.
oh well. i guess i’ll just have to suck it up and restrain my argumentative side. it’s not like i’m likely to miss class, is it? tomorrow is biology, and the integrative seminar. i’m excited about those two, but i anticipate it being more introduction & syllabus junk. and i’m sure mid-semester i’ll be wishing for this week of not-learning-anything classes. ;) so i will smile sweetly and enjoy the transition into true college-ie-ness.

It’s good to hear you’re finally moving into a real college with your schooling. I’m glad that you are doing what you always talked about wanting to do. I can’t wait to see you become a real doctor or whatever it is you want to do.

Surgeeeooooooooooooon! A bajillion years of school, but oooh, it’s so effing cool to think about all the cool things I’ll do someday. ;)
Sometimes I wish I’d done it sooner, but by waiting a bit I think it’s easier for me to deal with the whole no-life-must-study thing. And I’m old enough to get full loans on my own. Hehehehe.
